This two-year educational program will prepare cancer care clinicians to develop and implement a comprehensive distress screening in their practice environments.
The first year of the program begins with a one-day workshop held at the APOS Annual Conference and continues with videoconferences with experts every 3 months.
The second year includes an advanced one-day workshop at the annual APOS conference with 2 videoconferences throughout the second year.
The next round of applications will be accepted in late 2014 for the 2015 program. The first workshop will be held 29 July 2015 as part of the APOS 12th Annual Conference and IPOS 17th World Congress of Psycho-Oncology. The theme for this conference is From National to Global: Implementing the Standard of Psychosocial Care in Oncology.
