Registration Policies

Register before 26 January 2010 to take advantage of reduced registration fees! Annual Conference registration includes the Opening Reception, plenary and concurrent sessions, abstract book, program book, and scheduled breakfasts, lunches and breaks as outlined in the program.

Refund Policy:  Refund requests must be made in writing to APOS Headquarters on or prior to 26 January 2010. A 75% refund of the Annual Conference and workshop(s) registration fees will be given for cancellations received on or prior to 26 January 2010. No refunds will be made after 26 January 2010. No refunds will be made to individuals who attend a portion of the meeting. No refunds will be made for cancellations due to inclement weather. APOS reserves the right to substitute faculty, or cancel or reschedule sessions (because of low enrollment or other circumstances). If APOS must cancel the conference in its entirety, APOS may refund the appropriate registration fees to all conference registrants; no refunds will be made for travel expenses related to the conference.

Refunds in case of Emergency:  If you are unable to attend the workshop(s) or the Conference based on serious illness or death (of self or a family member), a partial refund (amount paid minus a $55 processing charge) may be granted. Emergency refund requests must be made in writing to APOS Headquarters at the following address. The Program Chair reviews all requests to ensure compliance with policy.

Substitution Policy:  If you are unable to attend workshops or the Conference, you are welcome to send a colleague in your place. There is no fee to make this change up to 26 January 2010. Substitutions after 26 January 2010 will incur a $55.00 processing fee.

Returned Check Policy:  Remittance must be made in U.S. Dollars. A $25.00 surcharge may be assessed to cover any collection fees.

Important Payment Note:  The registration form must be accompanied by your credit card information or check in full payment of all applicable fees. All non-U.S. registrants will be charged the U.S. Dollar equivalent at the time the charge is processed, unless otherwise indicated. To qualify for early registration rates, complete registration must be submitted online, faxed or postmarked no later than 26 January 2010.

Exhibitors:  Exhibitors are subject to the same refund and substitution policies above. However, exhibitors do not quality for refunds in case of emergency with the belief that an exhibiting organization can send another representative if the original representative is unable to attend.

Media Attendance:  The APOS Scientific Program Committee may issue press passes to representatives of news media outlets that APOS solicits to attend the conference.
